The Rosary Catholic Primary School
Aspire, Believe, Achieve: Together in Christ
A Statement of Intent
What is our vision for the pupils of
The Rosary Catholic Primary School?
At the Rosary Catholic Primary School, we join with parents and carers in wanting our pupils to be responsible world citizens of conscience and compassion: resilient, independent and self motivated individuals, committed to the fulfilment of their own and others’ potential. This is why we have devised a bespoke curriculum, one which is aimed at our pupils living in south west London, in the London borough of Hounslow. We have included topics such as Where Do I live? (Year 1), Perfect Planet? (Year 3), Heston Detectives (Year 4), Democracy (Year 5), Social Media: Friend or Foe? (Year 6), Remembrance (Year 6) which will equip our pupils with a deeper understanding of their locality as well as issues which will affect them as citizens in the 21st century; locally, nationally and internationally.
Our curriculum adheres to the requirements of the National Curriculum whilst encompassing the creativity and curiosity of our teachers and pupils. Teachers and pupils have the opportunity to devise and develop their own ideas, interests and passions beyond the criteria and expectations of the National Curriculum. They are encouraged to ask questions and to formulate opinions; in this way, a curiosity for discovery and a passion for lifelong learning will remain at the heart of our work.
At The Rosary Catholic Primary School, we believe that our learning journey is never complete and that learning from each other is an essential element of ours, and other people’s, success.
