Both teams of 8 did really well with our Rosary team 1 coming first overall!! This means that they are now going through to the Borough Finals at the end of May.
Well done boys and girls!
Yesterday 16 of our Year 5 & 6's went to Cranford Community College to take part in a Quad kids competition. This involved each of them doing a standing long jump, vortex howler throw, 60m sprint and 600m run. Both teams of 8 did really well with our Rosary team 1 coming first overall!! This means that they are now going through to the Borough Finals at the end of May. Well done boys and girls! Today we were very lucky to have a visit from an athlete on Team GB. Rion Pierre, a sprinter, came to the Rosary today and gave an inspirational assembly to all classes with demonstrations from both the children and the teachers. Each year group then got a chance to complete a circuit with Rion and Joe where they took part in a number of activities such as jogging on the spot and jumping Jacks, a talk on the importance of healthy eating, exercise and growth mindset and then Rion answered all their questions. Children from Year 6 will be going around tomorrow, Friday 10th March and Monday 13th March to collect in the Sponsorship money from the children. Remember not only does the money raised go to support Team GB athletes but we also receive some back to the school to go on new sporting equipment. You will also receive a gift depending on how much money you raise. Click here to find out more about Rion Pierre.
