A strange yet successful start....

21/10/2020

Dear Parents and Carers,

This is undoubtedly the most unusual start to an academic year, in education. It is outstanding to see how exceptionally well The Rosary staff and our children have risen to these seriously difficult challenges. A strange but successful start!

Data for children’s activity during lockdown highlights the importance of PE with only 19% of children meeting the recommended physical activity time guidelines during lockdown (7-16 year olds). 43% of children are LESS active than before and 1 in 4 are said to have not  engaged in any activity at all.

With this in mind, we at The Rosary have continued to deliver quality PE lessons and activities in collaboration with Sport Impact and Let's Leap. Safety, engagement and the needs of our children remain at the forefront of our minds. Although, inter challenges are still being considered, intra competitions have begun.

Our first begins with our In-house Cross Country Challenge for KS2 in an attempt to get The Borough of Hounslow moving.

Watch out for photos to be released after half term!

In the meantime, Let's Leap have supported our need to get moving with a number of clubs across the school: Judo, dance, multi-sports and football.

Here are some moments captured of Year 3 in Judo.
